2017 Healing Transitions Toy Drive

Our Tenth Annual Healing Transitions Toy Drive is here! UPUCC will collect toys for the children of the Healing Transitions clients as the holiday season begins. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Healing Transitions of Wake County, its primary mission is to help those struggling with drug addiction and homelessness. In fact, Healing Transitions for Women is just down the road.

Those who took gift tags, please return your unwrapped gift(s) - suitable for the age and gender of the child identified on your tag, and in the $15 to $20 range by December 8.

Unlike many toy drives you may have participated in the past, we won’t be given any more information about each child other than their age and gender. Please note: the UNWRAPPED aspect is key, as it gives the mothers the chance to pick out a gift they think their child will like before wrapping it themselves. Please be sure to attach your tag to the gift before returning it on December 8. (Healing Transitions is compiling the suggested list of gifts and children’s information. Thanks for considering this opportunity to give!)

UPUCC Creativity Group: The morning group will continue to meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The evening Creativity Group is held the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Come with your own individual creative projects, come to socialize, or come to try your hand at making a card.
